HR Administrator

This role is due to commence in July 2021

 

The main purpose of the role is to give routine advice and guidance on policies and procedures, terms and conditions of service, Police Regulations in line with transactional activity. 

To provide an efficient and effective customer focused HR transactional service.

 

Main Responsibilities:

To provide general guidance and support with routine transactions and queries escalating more complex issues to the HR Supervisor.

To process all aspects of transactional activities, ensuring accurate HR records are maintained and achieving the daily allocated work

To input and maintain information in HR ORIGIN database and other associated systems. To run reports from Discoverer as required.

To highlight service improvements and propose changes to business administration processes.

To promote the use of the ‘You at Work’ intranet provision, process maps and the ORIGIN HR Self Service facility.

To work collaboratively with other HR colleagues and departments to ensure the delivery of an efficient and effective HR service.

To undertake other duties commensurate with the nature, level of responsibility and grading of this post, including cover for colleagues, as required.

 

Experience/Skills:  

Knowledge:

5 GCSEs, Grades A-C or equivalent including Maths and English.

 

Experience: 

Experience of dealing with administrative processes.

Experience of retrieving statistical information.

Experience of working as part of a team in a customer service environment.

 

Desirable: 

Experience of working within a transactional team.

 

Key Skills:

Good IT skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook).

Good verbal communication skills.

Ability to work to tight deadlines.

Ability to deliver customer service within a team environment.

Ability to enter information accurately using appropriate IT systems.

Ability to present information clearly and concisely.
